College Football Week 4 Recap

Week four is now done so its time we take a look back at what happened and what we were taught this weekend.

The biggest and most exiting game of the weekend was #1 Alabama coming back to beat #10
Arkansas started with a quick two play drive to get the first score. It was Ryan Mallets only touchdown pass of the day. At the half, it was 17-7 Arkansas.
Then after a razorback field goal near the end of the 3rd quarter, Alabama scored 17 unanswered points to take the lead 24-20 off a Mark Ingram touchdown. Arkansas last hopes of the upset were shattered on a pass being intercepted by Alabama's Dre Kirkpatrick with just under two minutes to go.
If Ryan Mallet would not have thrown three intersections, the Razorbacks would have won this game.

The Big 10 had one of the worst lineups this week in history of all BCS conferences. The opponents featured MAC schools such as Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, Bowling Green, Ball State, Toledo, Temple, Akron, and Northern Illinois. Eight of the 13 MAC schools played against Big 10 opponents.
Wisconsin and Michigan State didn't help by playing Austin Peay and Northern Colorado. Although Purdue and Minnesota only embarrassed themselves by in fact loosing to Toledo and Northern Illinois, both by eleven points.

North Carolina State is really doing well, now 4-0 on the year with the latest win coming over the disappointing Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Most had NC State in the bottom of the ACC, but with a great passing attack are on a roll, with the next opponent Virginia Tech.
