Don Wakamtsu

The Seattle Mariners have fired manager Don Wakamtsu on August 9th. The team is 40-72, and in last in the AL West. The intern manager will be former AAA manager Daren Moore.

The move is good, but could have waited until the end of the year. Seattle is not playing for anything, so why not wait until the end of the season so the team can have one less distraction.

Bottom line, Seattle is going no where but down with the current offense, and need to do a lot this offseason.
